NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A time-honored tradition is coming up this Saturday in Nashville.

The 77th running of the Iroquois Steeplechase will be held at Percy Warner Park.

The position drawing was held Thursday morning for the seven races.

The big one, the seventh race, is the $200,000 Calvin Houghland Iroquois Steeplechase itself, with seven horses, including the top three in the country.

"This is the best field, and these are the best jockeys in the country," said Chairman Dwight Hall.

Saturday will be the hottest day in a while for Steeplechase. Temperatures will be around 90 degrees, which is a concern for the horses.

"That is a concern, but we have misting fans and plenty of water," Hall said.

Water will also be available to the horses as soon as they cross the finish line.

If the Predators win Game 7 on Thursday, you can expect to see catfish flying onto the track at the start line before the beginning of the Iroquois on Saturday.
