Metro sends cease and desist letter to Bird scooters

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Just two days after making its debut, the new electric scooters in downtown Nashville are being forced to move.

In a cease and desist letter, city officials said “Bird Scooters” are blocking sidewalks.

It also said the scooters violate several Metro codes.

Bird Scooters has 15 days to move the scooters.

The city said it’s working on several measures that could allow them to return.
