NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

You better think before you throw trash out the car window or you may have an unwelcome visitor.

Trash-quatch is helping out the Tennessee Department of Transportation with its “Nobody Trashes Tennessee” program.

“Your state is beautiful, full of beautiful culture, music, food and history. We want to keep it beautiful for visitors and also for a great place to live,” said Adam Niederpreum, a ranger.

TDOT said Tennessee spends $15 million for litter pickup and prevention each year.
