NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The man accused in the deadly shooting at Opry Mills is scheduled to appear in court later this week.

Justin Golson, 22, was initially supposed to appear in court Monday, but the court date was postponed until Thursday.

Officials say this will likely be his preliminary hearing and that subpoenas have been issued for witnesses to be present.

Golson is accused of killing 22-year-old Demarco Churchwell inside the mall last week.

Police said two or three people were involved in a physical dispute in the hallway across from the Old Navy store. During the altercation, Golson allegedly fired at least two shots, striking Churchwell in the neck.

According to authorities, Golson and Churchwell knew each other and were involved in an ongoing dispute.
