CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A small plane crashed in Clarksville on Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. as a Cessna 182 was landing at the Clarksville Regional Airport.

The plane touched down, went through the perimeter fence, and stopped on the shoulder of Outlaw Field Road, blocking one lane of traffic.

The pilot, who was the only one on board, had non-life threatening injuries.

According to Clarksville police, weather may have contributed to the crash. The FAA is investigating to determine an exact cause.
