Funeral services set for Waffle House shooting victims

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Funeral services have been set for two of the victims of the Waffle House shooting on Sunday morning.

Taurean Sanderlin, Joey Perez, DeEbony Groves and Akilah Dasilva died as a result of the shooting. All victims were under 30 years old.

Taurean Sanderlin

Sanderlin, 29, was from Goodlettsville and was an employee at the Waffle House where the shooting took place.

A public viewing for Sanderlin will take place Friday from 1-6 p.m. at S A G Funeral Home, 1503 Buchanan St., Nashville.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at the Delmas Long Community Center, 200 Memorial Dr., Goodlettsville, TN.

DeEbony Groves

Groves, 21, was fatally wounded inside the restaurant. She was from Gallatin and a senior at Belmont University.

Visitation for Groves will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 290 E. Winchester St., Gallatin. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 12 p.m.

Akilah Dasilva

Dasilva, 23, was inside the Waffle House when he was shot. He later died from his injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was an aspiring musician.

His funeral arrangements have not been released.

Joe Perez

Perez, 20, was shot and killed while he was standing outside the restaurant.

Funeral arrangements have not been released.
