LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -

A community is remembering a life cut far too short.

Last month, a teen's suicide began to open up new discussions about bullying.

Allie Johnson is believed to be the second Lebanon High School student to commit suicide in about a year.

At a celebration of life ceremony held Thursday, friends and family remembered the good times with Allie.

While there were plenty of laughs and old stories, there were also tears knowing no new memories would be made.

Allie's parents pleaded with students, telling them to realize suicide is never the answer.

"We do all have to wake up ... we are the ones that have to wake up ... suicide is real, and it can happen to any of us, because it happened to me," said Allie's mother.

"Talk, understand and know, suicide is not the solution," said Allie's father.

There were therapy dogs at the event for anyone who needed one.

In the near future, the Wilson County school will display a mural for Allie in the lobby.
