ASHLAND CITY, TN (WSMV) -

Chad Judkins had overdosed on heroin before and survived, but Friday night, the drug killed him.

Video from a Cheatham County deputy's body camera showed medics trying to perform CPR. We’re told it’s something they have to do almost daily.

"It absolutely makes me mad because we're seeing it on such a regular basis that it's got to stop," said Lt. Shannon Heflin, a spokesperson for the Cheatham County Sheriff's Office.

More body camera video showed investigators less than 24 hours later at a sting. They set up a fake drug buy with the alleged dealer and his friend.

"You got anything that's going to poke me, stick me, get me hurt or get you killed," asked one of the officers as he handcuffed one of the suspects.

Investigators charged Zachary Oden with possession of heroin. They said he also had several outstanding warrants in Nashville.

They charged Christopher Stefko with second-degree murder.

News 4 asked investigators how Stefko reacted when he learned Judkins had overdosed and died.

"He absolutely had no reaction whatsoever. He did not care," Heflin said.

Judkins left behind two daughters, a mother and father whose last memory of their son is him lying on the floor.

"We heard the thump and we ran in here and I started CPR and she gets his hands and she says, 'His hands are like ice,'" said Perry Judkins, Chad's father.

Perry Judkins talked to News 4 because he doesn't want any more fathers to have to bury their sons.

"People need to be aware of what's going on. They need to know what's out there, how dangerous it is,” Judkins said.

Police shared the videos hoping to scare some sense into drug dealers.

"If you sell heroin, more than likely, it's going to be laced with fentanyl. You're going to kill somebody. You're going to go to jail for murder," Heflin said.

Stefko is due in court on Wednesday.
