ALEXANDRIA, TN (WSMV) -

Police have arrested the second of three inmates who escaped from the DeKalb County Jail earlier this week.

Bryon Gibbs, 32, was taken into custody on Saturday.

Authorities say an officer in Alexandra, Tennessee, was on Edgewood Street when he spotted Gibbs run into the middle of the road.

The officer recognized him as one of the escaped inmates, so he got out of his patrol car and ordered Gibbs to the ground.

While attempting to place handcuffs on Gibbs, he reportedly disobeyed the officer’s commands and started to resist arrest.

That's when several bystanders saw what was happening and jumped in to help. With their assistance, Gibbs was taken into custody and charged by the Alexandria Police Department with resisting arrest and aggravated assault.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old woman from Alexandria is facing charges for allegedly helping Gibbs escape from the DeKalb County Jail.

Alesha Scott has been charged with permitting and facilitating an escape. Her bond was set at $20,000.

Gibbs was one of three inmates who ran away from the DeKalb County Jail. Jack Mullican Jr., 38, of Smithville, was arrested Wednesday.

Daniel Hamilton, 26, also of Smithville, remains at large.
