Police: Mount Juliet assisted living facility evacuated after small fire

According to police, Mount Juliet Health Care was evacuated just after 8 p.m. on Friday evening after a small fire broke out. 

With the help of the building's sprinkler system, officials say fireman quickly contained the fire to one room and its contents.

All 41 residents evacuated the facility due to heavy smoke in the building. Three people were transported to a local hospital as a precaution, but no injuries were reported. 

More than a dozen rooms were affected by the fire, and residents and doubling and tripling-up in rooms for the night. 

Officials say they are currently investigating what caused the fire.
