NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Black Friday mania swept the nation once again and Middle Tennessee was not immune

Nearly 3,000 people walked through the doors in the first two hours after Bass Pro Shop at Opry Mills opened its doors early Friday morning.

The line wrapped around the sidewalk overnight at Opry Mills as customers waited to get in.

One couple arrived as early as 9 p.m. Thursday night, waiting hours in the near-freezing temperatures.

“We got my daughter in the car,” said Sarah. “We each got a list. We’re just gonna go in and grab and go in and grab and meet together and if we got extra, we’re good.”

Shoppers said $10 flannels and jeans were the hot ticket items as well as a sale on select firearms.

“Always grab the paper on Thursday and spend hours looking at it, at everything, and making a list,” said Sharon about how she prepares for Black Friday. “Make sure you’ve got everything and know which stores you want to go to.”
