Heritage Foundation holds event to celebrate 50 years

A large party was held Sunday night for the 50th anniversary of the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County.

The event, which took place at the Franklin Theatre, included performances and receptions that highlighted the work that's been done by the organization through the years.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the Heritage Foundation’s 50-year history and the many projects that have been completed due to the hard work and dedication of former and current boards of directors, staff members and a long list of other outstanding community leaders,” said Bari Beasley, CEO of the organization.

The Heritage Foundation is a nonprofit group that has been around since 1967. 

They work to protect and preserve Williamson County’s architectural, geographic, and cultural heritage of Franklin and Williamson County.

They also promote the revitalization of downtown Franklin in the context of historic preservation.
