CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

An 18-year-old man, who was the suspect in a fatal shooting, turned himself in to Clarksville police on Sunday.

Police say Timothy Hutcherson, of Clarksville, is now in custody.

They were also searching for Dashawn Ramey, a person of interest in the case, but he was located and interviewed Sunday evening.

Both men were questioned about a shooting that occurred Saturday around 11 p.m.

Authorities initially responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 400 block of Beech Street.

When they arrived at the address, they found 21-year-old Devonte Wilkerson lying on the ground outside the home with a gunshot wound.

Police also found a female victim inside the apartment who had been shot in the leg.

The victims were transported to Tennova hospital in extremely critical condition.

Upon arrival to the hospital, Wilkerson died from his injuries. The female victim was eventually taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, still in critical condition.

Police obtained a criminal homicide warrant for Hutcherson for the shooting. He goes by the nickname "True."

Ramey, like Hutcherson, knew the shooting victims.

Anyone with information related to the shooting should contact Detective Ulrey at 931-648-0656 (Ext 5483).
