Franklin County deputy accused of warning suspect about arrest

TULLAHOMA, TN (WSMV) -

A deputy with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office has been indicted for allegedly warning a suspect about an impending arrest.

Timothy Martin Tyler, 47, is charged with one count of misuse of official information.

District Attorney General Michael Taylor asked the TBI to open the investigation after receiving information from Franklin County Sheriff Tim Fuller.

The Franklin County Grand Jury returned the indictment on Monday.

Tyler turned himself into authorities on Wednesday morning and was booked into the Franklin County Jail. His bond was set at $10,000.
