Bicyclist hit by car while riding on Natchez Trace Parkway

MAURY COUNTY, TN -

A bicyclist was hit by a car while traveling on Natchez Trace Parkway Sunday afternoon.

It happened at mile marker 418, according to the Maury County Fire Department.

Officials said 58-year-old Randall Singleton was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a 1965 Ford Falcon.

Singleton suffered significant injuries to his head and leg. He was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Officials said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.
