Papa John's employee injured in south Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Papa John’s employee was injured in a shooting in south Nashville on Friday night.

Police responded to a shots fired call to the Papa John’s location in the 200 block of Thompson Lane.

The incident occurred at the Phillips 66 gas station across the street. Police said the employee was involved in an altercation with a man and woman. The man shot at the employee’s car multiple times, hitting him.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

There is no information on the suspects at this time. This shooting remains under investigation.
