Wilson schools release fall break survey results

LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -

Wilson County Schools released the results of a school calendar survey during a planning meeting on Thursday night.

The survey was meant to poll parents and staff about their preferences for fall break, Thanksgiving break and winter break.

More than 8,000 people participated in the poll.

The district found that most of those answering the survey preferred to keep fall break, but the results varied on how long that break should be.

More than 4,000 participants voted to keep the current two-week fall break format. More than 3,100 voted for a one-week fall break and a full week off at Thanksgiving instead of three days off.
