Metro Police are investigating an assault after a woman was allegedly struck in the face during an altercation at Corner Pub in Brentwood Saturday night around 7:45.

The victim, a 30-year-old white woman, was sitting at a table with her friend, a 37-year-old black man, when a group of about 20 to 30 white men and women entered the restaurant, according to police.

The group sat at a table behind the couple, and began talking about "White Lives Matter." They encouraged the victim to leave the black man she was sitting with and sit with them.

Police say an argument ensued and the group moved outside. When the victim was arguing with a woman in the large group, a man allegedly punched her in the face.

A video of the altercation was captured by someone inside the pub. A woman can be seen with a bloody face around the 30 second mark of the video, which you can see here.

Metro Police officers were called to the scene, but when they arrived, the group had dispersed. The victim returned to the scene to give a statement.

According to police, the victim says the suspects fled in a multiple vehicles, including a white van with a Wisconsin license plate and a sedan with a New York license plate.

The victim has not been identified by police.

The suspect who punched the victim has been described as a white man in his thirties, wearing a black jacket and black jeans. Anyone with information about suspects or persons involved is encouraged to call the police.
