Bacon Blue Cheese Grits from Sea Salt
2 cups white stone ground grits
2 cups milk
2 cups water
1 cup blue cheese crumbles
1 cup diced Gifford's bacon, cooked and drained of fat
Combine milk water and salt and bring to a simmer. Add grits while whisking and simmer for 10 minutes while whisking slowly. When grits are cooked but not dry add blue cheese and bacon and whisk to combine. Taste and adjust salt if necessary.
