NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Thousands of book lovers will be in Nashville this weekend for the Southern Festival of Books at War Memorial Plaza.

The free festival draws 25,000 people each year.

Activities include children’s programming, live music and other performance, food trucks, author signings and presentations and book sales.

“It’s just a time to celebrate the written word, and a little something for everyone,” said Tim Henderson, executive director of Humanities Tennessee. “It’s just a really diverse crowd of thousands of people who love to hear and tell stories, and that always in the end tells us something about ourselves and about each other.”
