CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Dozens of women from across the state of Tennessee are vying for the crown this weekend.

News 4 got an inside look at their first rehearsal for the Miss Tennessee USA pageant.

Allee-Sutton Hethcoat, the reigning Miss Tennessee USA, will be passing on the title this weekend.

"It's emotional. I've loved this job," Hethcoat said.

It's been a busy year. The 25-year-old attorney placed in the top 10 at the Miss USA pageant in May.

"It was a once-in-a-lifetime, very unique experience that I realize so many women dream of and I felt very blessed to have," she said.

Now she's back on the stage where it all started.

Miss Tennessee USA was her first pageant ever.

"Maybe I'll chalk it up to beginner's luck," she said.

Now she's back to mentor girls vying for this year's top spot.

"It's not easy; it's harder than it looks," said Kent Parham, who has choreographed the event for the 20 years it's been around.

The women will rehearse for hours leading up to Saturday night, where the finalists will be named and a winner will be crowned.

"I know I'll cry. I'm already anticipating a lot of tears. I've loved this job. It's been such an honor and a blessing," Hethcoat said.
