NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Country singer Jason Aldean resumed his tour in Tulsa on Thursday almost two weeks after the massacre in Las Vegas.

Aldean was on stage at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival when a gunman opened fire, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more.

After the attack, Aldean canceled several shows out of respect for the victims and their families.

During his show Thursday night, he reached out to those hurt by the tragedy and called for national unity.

"You know, every day that goes by we think about the 58 people that lost their lives," Aldean said. "It's been really cool to see all the support, all the love and support that's been going on over the last 10 days or so, because of what happened in Las Vegas, and I just feel like if we could do that on a daily basis, the world would be a lot better place, ya know?"

Aldean will return to Nashville on Nov. 12 for a benefit for hurricane victims at Bridgestone Arena.
