THP identifies woman killed in Spring Hill crash

SPRING HILL, TN (WSMV) -

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has identified the woman killed in a crash on Interstate 65 in Spring Hill on Monday.

According to the crash report, 35-year-old Michelle Sampson of Franklin was killed in the crash between Saturn Parkway and Interstate 840.

Police at the scene said a car crossed the median and went into oncoming traffic around 4:15 p.m. Monday. It took crews more than 14 hours to clear the southbound lanes.

Four vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, were involved in the crash.

Four other people were hurt in the crash, including a 15-year-old passenger. Two were flown by helicopter to Nashville for treatment. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
