Police searching for suspect in East Nashville robbery

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police are working to identify the armed suspect who robbed the Family Dollar on Wednesday on Woodland Street.

The suspect entered the store at 1000 Woodland Street at 4 p.m. and demanded money from the register. The suspect fled the scene on foot with cash.

The suspect is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs around 170 pounds. He is between 25 and 30 years old.

Police said the gunman may be involved in similar robberies in the same area.
