NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

An 18-year-old man was stabbed in the face with a box cutter after an argument at a Simpkins Street home, according to police.

Police said Marvin Summers was visiting his girlfriend’s home. The girlfriend’s uncle, Kevin Foster, was home at the time.

Foster and Summers got into an argument and the man eventually stabbed the teen with a box cutter.

Police said Foster was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

Foster left the scene on a bicycle but was caught a short time later near the intersection of 26th Avenue North and Clarksville Pike.

Summers suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police said he had warrants and would be taken into custody after treatment of his injuries.
