LAWRENCEBURG, TN (WSMV) -

A Lawrence County man faces two counts of attempted first degree murder and one count of aggravated domestic assault after attacking three people with a machete, authorities said.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office said Barry Allen, Boswell, 49, was being held on a $1.5 million bond after the incidents on Monday.

Deputies were dispatched to a home on Mockerson Road in the Five Points community after a man and woman showed up saying they had been attacked with a machete. Both victims had suffered injuries, including large cuts to the head and shoulder areas.

Deputies found Boswell at 175 Mockerson Road and found evidence of the assault in the front yard.

While processing the scene, a third victim arrived saying she was assaulted by Boswell earlier in the day. The victim said he had left walking to seek help when Boswell passed out.

The victim said she was able to call her mother from a local store to come and get her. The mother and her friend responded to the residence to get her and became the victims of the machete attack before the first victim could walk back from the store.
