Body pulled from Cumberland River in West Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro Police confirm a body was pulled from in the Cumberland River near Rock Harbor Marina in West Nashville early Tuesday evening.

Boaters spotted the body floating in the river and called police around 4:45 p.m.

The Office of Emergency Management launched boats, traveling 0.8 miles to get the body. 

The condition, sex and identity of the body are unknown at this time. 

More details will be released after an investigation by the Davidson Co. Medical Examiners Office and Nashville Fire Dept.
