ERIN, TN (WSMV) -

A man who was wanted on several warrants was arrested in Houston County on Monday.

According to officials, James Perkins Jr. was wanted on rape and kidnapping charges in Henry County.

Deputies found Perkins with Phillip Jackson on Rocky Point Lane in Erin, TN, on Sunday.

Jackson was arrested, but Perkins allegedly got in a backhoe and drove away from the scene before running into the woods.

Multiple law enforcement authorities used helicopters and K-9s to search until around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Someone eventually spotted Perkins at the Danville boat dock area, which is when he was taken into custody. Perkins is charged with evading arrest.

Jackson is charged with accessory after the fact.

The Mongtomery County Sheriff's Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol assisted with the search for Perkins.

The Houston County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be filed.
