2 arrested for possession, intent to sell over $30K of drugs at Bonnaroo

MANCHESTER, TN (WSMV) -

Coffee County deputies searched a vehicle at the campsite at Bonnaroo after spotting a female smoking marijuana.

According to deputies, the arrest warrant suggests that several bags of marijuana, scales, and paraphernalia was in plain sight.

The warrant gave deputies consent to search the vehicle in which they found a large amount of schedule I and schedule VI drugs and paraphernalia, including two pounds of marijuana packed in 58 bags, one pound and 12oz of mushrooms packed in 138 bags, 11 molly pills in two bags, 11 ecstasy pills and one bag with a half gram of Ketamine inside the vehicle.

The two people charged are identified as Daniel W. Loper, 37, of Eugene, OR and Ryan Alpeus Wiggins, 23, of Rock Hill, SC.

Loper and Wiggins are each charged with two counts of manufacturing/delivering/selling/possession of a controlled substance.

Both were booked in at Coffee County Jail. They are held on $100,000 bond.

Loper and Wiggins’ court dates are August 11.

Before the festival began, Coffee Co. deputies also arrested David Brady, 45, of Albany, N.Y., with a massive quantity of synthetic drugs. According to the arrest warrant, Brady said he was doing "God's work" by selling fake drugs.
