Songwriter, producer Norro Wilson dies at age 79

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A songwriter and producer who impacted the careers of country music legends has died.

Norro Wilson, 79, was a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Wilson penned hits for George Jones and Tammy Wynette. He later produced for artists like Charley Pride, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain and Kenny Chesney.

Rolling Stone is reporting that Wilson died from heart failure.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
