NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The tradition of throwing catfish onto the ice continued in Smashville on Thursday night even though the Predators were playing in Pittsburgh.

Thousands of fans gathered at Bridgestone Arena for a Game 5 watch party.

One fan had problems throwing her catfish over the glass and onto the ice.

After she tried tossing the catfish multiple times, another fan had to step in to help.

Luckily, Bradley Freeman was able to successfully chuck the catfish onto the ice.

It was a nice moment in what was otherwise a painful game for Preds fans. The team ended up losing 6-0, allowing the Penguins to lead the series 3-2.

The Penguins will travel to Nashville for Game 6 on Sunday night.
