The Nashville Predators left for Pittsburgh on Wednesday, and some 200 fans came out to wish them good luck.

Don’t blink or you’ll miss the Predators’ drive-by moment.

Wednesday afternoon, players and their head coach arrived at the airport to travel to Pittsburgh for Game 5.

“We love the Predators. We’re here to cheer them on to bring home the Cup, win this one next Sunday,” one fan said.

Fans looked through tinted windows and cheered even when a player’s hand was all they could see.

“We had a doctor’s appointment this morning,” one fan said. “I told them if they were all good, they could come out and see the Preds. And they were all good so here we are.”

What’s happening in Nashville is hockey history. No matter the age, everyone wants to be a part of it.

Lynny Wheeler and Julia Fleming are Vanderbilt students. Commodore black and gold has now turned Predator blue.

“It’s been so fun, so fun to see everyone rally around the team,” Wheeler said. “We’ve been fans for a while, but we love the bandwagon fans. It’s been so fan making the whole experience.”

As fun as it is for Predators fans, they hope this is the last time the team has to travel to Pittsburgh. If the Predators win the next two games, they wouldn’t have to travel back to Pittsburgh for Game 7.
