PITTSBURGH, PA (WSMV) -

Dan Cage is the only four-year Vanderbilt basketball player who made it to the Sweet 16 twice.

Anna Cage is a manager of regional radio and streaming for Warner Music Nashville.

Both moved from Nashville to sports-crazy Pittsburgh one year ago and are keeping certain secrets to themselves.

Anna Cage's books and backstage passes tell the story of having helped launch several of Nashville's top country artists – from the ground up, all the way to the top – such as the country music duo Dan and Shay.

"I am lucky enough to work with these guys," Anna Cage said. "Dan is from Pittsburgh. He has an internal struggle with this town because he's such a Nashville guy and is ingrained in the fabric there."

Anna continues to commute out of Music City. Husband Dan is the reason why.

Last summer the former Vanderbilt player-turned-coach left with long-time Vanderbilt head basketball coach Kevin Stallings for the University of Pittsburgh.

"He's like a man on fire," Dan Cage said. "Up early every morning. He's a man on a mission. I feel very lucky to get to work for him and with him and to learn from him."

The former high school sweethearts, married nine years in August, say they miss Music City.

"I really, really miss Hattie B's hot chicken," Dan Cage added. "I miss everything about Vanderbilt, and my teammates, and coaching great kids."

And while they're proud of the Predators, their newly adoptive town demands loyalty.

"I'm very proud for making it this far, but I've got to go with the Pens," Dan Cage said.

"The struggle is real," Anna Cage added. "Especially with the anthem singers all being country music stars. One of my acts could be singing the anthem one day. So I'm going to plead the fifth."

Anna Cage plans to continue commuting for as long as she can. Dan Cage said he hopes to keep learning under Pitt coach Kevin Stallings.

One day, the couples hopes to return to Nashville full time.
