NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

As Nashville takes a couple of days off from hockey, some of music’s biggest stars are pouring into Middle Tennessee.

In downtown Nashville and on the outskirts of Manchester, TN, technicians and staff are setting the stages for the CMA Music Festival and Bonnaroo.

It’s the biggest week of the music year for Tennessee.

CMA Fest is unofficially an eight-day event: three days of charity events and the CMT Awards, followed by music festival.

The Nashville Predators’ success has forced the CMT Awards into the Music City Center. On a week that is normally all about the music, everyone is having to adjust a little.

The red carpet begins Wednesday afternoon. People can come downtown and watch the music and award show on the big screen. They must arrive by 6 p.m. The show begins at 7 p.m.
