FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -

The Franklin Rodeo has been around since 1949 and is one of the longest-running family events in Middle Tennessee.

The event is also one of the largest rodeos east of the Mississippi.

Bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling are just a few of the events. There's plenty of hands-on things to do for the kids too, like mutton busting and the calf scramble.

Tickets are $20 a piece, $10 for children. There are cheaper standing-room-only tickets too.

The Franklin Rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday night. Click here for more information.
