Officials identify woman killed in house fire in Gallatin

GALLATIN, TN (WSMV) -

Police have identified the woman who was killed in a house fire in Gallatin last week.

Emergency crews were called around 2 a.m. Friday to the two-story home at 349 East Eastland Ave.

Officials said Mary Edwards, who was in her 70s, died from smoke inhalation.

The Gallatin Police Department said the fire was caused by electrical issues.
