Preds fans bring the party

When you come downtown to watch the Nashville Predators on the big screen, your mind is on hockey.

Chase Humphrey's mind is in hunger – your hunger.

Humphrey has been in the hot dog business for 12 years. He owns Music City Wienery. He'll serve you up a frank, be your friend and your therapist. He's done it all.

"There's all kinds of characters, all kinds of characters. You get old fans, young fans, crazy fans,” Humphrey said.

He's been on the sidewalk near Bridgestone Arena for every home game, sometimes not shutting down until the wee hours of the morning.

"I don't call it a job because if you like what you do, you're not really working," Humphrey said.

He's just one small part of the party – a party those not from these parts can't seem to get over.

"I'm blown away they even did this. It's amazing," Andrea Raineri said.

The Raineris are Blues fans visiting from St. Louis.

"We are disappointed hockey fans after what you did to us," Raineri said.

They had no problem cheering for the yellow tonight.

"This is a testament to how tight hockey fans really are, and it's really cool to come to Nashville, a southern city that came kind of late to this party getting a franchise, and see this kind of fan base," Nick Raineri said.
