CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two people have been arrested for allegedly robbing a woman in Clarksville.

The victim stopped to talk to Donald Stacy and Kendra McKee while they were panhandling near the Walmart on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard on Saturday.

The 35-year-old woman gave the suspects $10, and they reportedly offered her a tent to stay in for the night.

According to the Clarksville Police Department, the woman was punched in the face and lost consciousness at some point during the encounter.

The victim suffered severe injuries to her head and face. She is still being treated at the hospital for her injuries.

Police said Stacy and McKee stole $120 from the woman's purse and took her cellphone.

The woman woke up several hours later. She told police that Stacy told her "she got what she deserved."

Stacy and McKee were arrested in Nashville but have been booked into the Montgomery County jail and are charged with especially aggravated robbery. Their bond has been set at $175,000.
