Police: Man threatened Hendersonville officers with knife

HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police say they have arrested a man who threatened officers with a knife on Tuesday morning.

According to the Hendersonville Police Department, David Starko came up to an officer in the department's parking lot around 6 a.m.

He allegedly said to the officer that "one of them was going to die today."

Starko was allegedly holding a long-bladed knife.

Another officer stepped in to help, and they were able to contain Starko by using their Tasers.

Neither of the officers was injured during the incident.

Starko, 64, was taken to Hendersonville Medical Center for treatment. He will be charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer.
