Wilson County teacher charged with sex crimes

MOUNT JULIET, TN (WSMV) -

A Wilson County teacher is accused of several sex crimes, following an investigation.

According to the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, a student complained about Darin Plumlee's alleged inappropriate behavior.

Plumlee is a teacher and coach at Mt. Juliet High School.

He is charged with three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, three counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, unlawful sexual contact and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Plumlee turned himself in at the Wilson County Sheriff's Office on Friday. He was released after posting $10,000 bond.
