NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

In April, Nashville Mayor Megan Barry and St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson made a friendly bet on whether the Nashville Predators or St. Louis Blues will advance to the NHL Stanley Cup finals.

The two agreed to send a gift basket to one another if their opposing team won. The Nashville Predators Foundation and St. Louis Blues Foundation also donated $1,000 to their cities music museums.

Due to Nashville’s victory, Mayor Krewson sent a gift basket filled with a selection of barbecue sauces, rubs, and other items to Mayor Barry, which she received on Wednesday.

“The Blues played a great series and I really appreciate Mayor Krewson sending some of the best her city has to offer,” said Mayor Barry. “What is really great is that the Nashville Predators Foundation and the St. Louis Blues Foundation have agreed to each donate $1,000 to the Country Music hall of Fame and National Museum of Blues respectively in celebration of a thrilling NHL Playoff series. Now I’m looking forward to finding out who the Preds will play next so we can continue the streak!”
