Man accused of shooting brother in Springfield turns himself in

SPRINGFIELD, TN (WSMV) -

Police say the man accused of shooting his brother in Springfield has turned himself in.

Joseph Johnson, 26, allegedly shot his brother while he was leaving a home on Ben Drive on Monday night.

According to the Springfield Police Department, officers found the victim near a car in the driveway around 8 p.m. Detectives found multiple shell casings at the scene.

Investigators said they believe the brothers were arguing before the shooting happened.

Jacques Johnson, 34, had to undergo emergency surgery at Skyline Medical Center. It's not clear what is condition is at this time.

Joseph Johnson is charged with attempt to commit criminal homicide.

He is being held at the Robertson County Jail on $250,000 bond.
