NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Fans of country music legend Loretta Lynn are hoping the “Coalminer’s Daughter” will have a speedy recovery.

It has been four days since Lynn suffered a stroke in her home, and the country music world is anxious for an update.

Fifty-seven years after Lynn released her first single, fans are still flocking to see her perform live.

“Even to see her perform present day is amazing,” said fan Kelly Courington.

Upcoming shows are postponed as Lynn recuperates

“I’m hoping for a speedy recovery and praying for her and her family,” said fan Lisa Harke.

On Friday, Lynn’s publicist said she is expected to make a full recovery.

Lynn is known for her humble beginnings, growing up dirt poor in Butcher Hollow, KY. She tackled many, at the time, controversial issues like the Vietnam War, divorce and birth control.

“Back then it was a different generation, a different time, and a lot of it was not spoken about, kind of swept under the rug,” Courington said.

Lynn is a proud inductee of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

“She really encompasses all of country music and what it stands for,” said fan Jennifer Adan.

The museum is getting ready to open a big exhibit on her in August.

“I hope she continues to make music and inspire others,” Adan said.

Many big names are also sending their well wishes. Martina McBride tweeted Friday night that her love and prayers are with Lynn.

Jennifer Nettles shared a picture of the two on social media with the message, “Praying for your recovery."
