MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

Former Vanderbilt pitcher David Price is using his major league money to create miracles.

Price just built a new baseball field in Murfreesboro for children and adults with special needs.

Miracle Field, as Price calls it, is wheelchair-accessible. It includes covered bleachers and dugouts, and a rubberized surface that children with and without disabilities can share.

Price donated $300,000 to build it.

“If you want to see what it’s all about, just go out there one Saturday. You don’t have to be involved,” said Price, who plays for the Boston Red Sox. “You can sit in the stands … and watch the pure enjoyment that these kids have. And for me and my family and our foundation, that’s enough.”

Miracle Field is special to Price because it’s on the same field where he grew up playing baseball.
