(MEREDITH) -- Tomi Lahren, known for her political show "Tomi" on The Blaze, has been suspended for at least one week according to multiple news outlets. Lahren recently made an appearance on "The View" where she spoke highly of President Trump but explained why she's pro-choice. "I am someone that’s for limited government,” she said. “So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government, but I think the government should decide what women should do with their bodies.”

Her remarks received backlash on Twitter. Glenn Beck of The Blaze posted, "Wait, libertarian views? Help me out on Trumpcare, stimulus, and executive orders. Trump is anything but libertarian."

Lahren defended her statements on the talk show, "I have moderate, conservative, and libertarian views. I'm human. I will never apologize, to anyone, for being an independent thinker."

The Daily Beast reports the news outlet's managing editor Leon Wolf sent an email to staff saying the show would not be in production this week. As of now, there is no confirmed connection between Lahren's statements on "The View" and her present suspension. Lahren's contract with The Blaze ends this September.
