Williams Sonoma's Chocolate Brownies with Peppermint Bark

CHOCOLATE BROWNIES WITH PEPPERMINT BARK

8 ounces (2 sticks) butter
3/4 c all-purpose flour
1 c cocoa powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c chocolate chips
3/4 c peppermint bark, chopped

-Melt butter and set aside.
-Sift flour and cocoa powder. Add salt and stir to combine.
-Combine eggs, sugar and vanilla in a mixer fitted with a whisk attachment. Mix on medium speed, scraping down the bowl occasionally until thick and light in color.
-Add to the cocoa-flour mix, then stir in the butter.
-Fold in chocolate chips.
-Pour batter into a well greased 9X13 pan. Top with peppermint bark. Bake at 325 for 30-40 minutes, or until the edges are baked, keeping the center very moist.
-Let brownie cool completely before cutting.
