Windler's buzzer-beater lifts Belmont over Lipscomb 64-62
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Dylan Windler caught a full-court pass on the run and his reverse layup just before the final buzzer lifted Belmont over Lipscomb 64-62 on Tuesday night.
Lipscomb's Rob Marberry made a jump shot with 2.8 seconds left to tie it at 62-all. Evan Bradds made the long inbound pass to Windler, who beat three defenders and dribbled once before making the game-winner.
Bradds scored 24 points to lead Belmont (2-3). Austin Luke added 13 points and Windler finished with six points.
Rob Marberry scored 24 points for Lipscomb (2-6). Garrison Mathews added 12 points.
Lipscomb had a 16-point lead early in the second half, but the Bruins used a 16-7 run to take their first lead of the second half, 61-60, with 45 seconds left. Luke split a pair of free throws to tie it 62-62 with 17 seconds remaining.
