Woman killed in motorcycle wreck on Old Hickory Blvd

A motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon on Old Hickory Boulevard near Bridgeway Avenue.

The driver was Tiffany Stafford-Jordan, 54-years-old, from Madison.

Jordan was riding her 2009 Harley Davidson northbound on Old Hickory Boulevard at 4:30 p.m. when she entered a curve and, for reasons unknown, left the roadway, traveled through a ditch, and across a parking lot. 

She was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she died. 

There was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement at the scene.

    Police responded to a shooting at the Edgehill Homes apartment complex near 12 Ave South around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Four male teens were non-critically injured after exchanging gunfire with other individuals in a car. It is unknown at this time how many people were in the car, and if any were injured.

    The robbery at West End Avenue's Rite Aid Pharmacy earlier this month appears to be an inside job, according to police. Midtown Hills Precinct detectives arrested 21-year-old Rite Aid employee Carlos Valcarcel-Arocho Saturday morning after it was determined he played a role in the robbery. Valcarcel-Arocho confessed his involvement to the detectives and is in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

    A massive fire erupted in the early morning Saturday after a tanker truck collided with a car on I-440 just before the merge to I-40 eastbound. Lane closures extended into the afternoon on I-40 at mile marker 206 while crews cleaned up the wreckage.
