NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Edgehill Bike Club hosted its third annual Thanksgiving community meal at New Hope Baptist Church on Wednesday.

Terry Key founded the club, which provides bicycles to children in an effort to steer them on the right track and keep them out of trouble.

He began providing Thanksgiving meals when he saw many children and their families didn’t have a traditional Thanksgiving meal to eat.

Earlier this week, Channel 4 reported a new study labeled the Edgehill neighborhood as a “state of emergency” because of the influx of new residents in the area.

“A lot of people are getting worried about how this neighborhood is turning out, so we’re trying to keep these kids together, keep families together,” Key said. “We’re going to come together to try and fight for this neighborhood and say, man, y’all can’t push us out. We’re going to stay right here, man.”

Key said he would love for all the new people moving into the neighborhood to come out and ride bikes with him and the kids.
