Marijuana grow operation found inside La Vergne home

LA VERGNE, TN (WSMV) -

Authorities said more than $130,000 worth of high-grade marijuana and eight firearms were seized from a La Vergne home after a search warrant was served last week.

Vincent Plummer, 54, is charged with two counts of manufacturing marijuana, possession of a weapon in the commission of a felony, maintaining a dwelling for the use of drugs and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, detectives found separate marijuana grow operations inside Plummer’s home.

Detectives seized 15 marijuana plants, 27 pounds of processed marijuana, 240 capsules containing THC and $23,000 cash.

In addition, 15 THC vapor smoking devices, four handguns, an AR-15 and AK-47 rifle, a shotgun, a sub rifle, and ammunition were seized from the home.

Plummer was released on a $39,000. He is due in court on Jan. 18.
